| Mayfair Quickstep : Frank Short : 1956 |
The Mayfair Quickstep is probably the best known "by name" sequence dance ever, and one of the most popular of the Social, Easy Sequence Dances worldwide, it's just so well loved. The Mayfair crops up in dance schools all over, as a standard introduction to Sequence Dance for Ballroom Students, I've seen it danced at Ballroom Competitions as a General Dance, and it often is danced in social clubs as a standard dance alongside Ballroom, Latin and Old Time dances. If arranged now it would likely be called a Swing, partners break from Ballroom Hold to do Walks, Steps and Points
I have it as "Headings Only" and also as a "Full Script", print out whichever suits you best. The "Headings" will print onto a Standard record card to go into a File Card box. The "Full Script" you can print in different sizes - see Printing Tips for help with this.
Note:- None Noted.
Music:- Dances well to a good Samba - "Viva La Samba" Gunteer Noris, and also to "the Irish Music" - Track 6 from Feet of Flames CD, Michael Flatley.
